Internet — What changed over the past 2 years?

Think back two years ago.  The Internet was much, much smaller.  Limited bandwidth and inferior technology limited motion graphics and videos on the Internet.   Google had stopped searching keyword meta-tags…and nobody knew it. Bing was just born.  Facebook was an infant.  There was no Google Plus.  You Tube was just becoming popular.  Social media marketing as we know it today was just  dream.   Tablets and smart-phone were not Internet friendly.
Today, the Internet is huge and it’s still growing out-of-control.   A stifling statistic is that people today spend a much time on the Internet as they do watching television.  There are dozens of new social network components.  Tablet and smart-phone account for 25% of all Internet access.  Facebook has over a billion users worldwide.  Google Plus is making serious noise in the marketing and you can watch TV on the Internet.  Yes, things have changed.  The question is, “Where will it be in 2 more years?”
